Official hotel shuttle service*
A shuttle bus service will be provided during the Congress for all IEC 2011 participants that have booked accommodation through Congrex Travel.
If you are arriving on the 25th, 26th or 27th August, please pick up your shuttle pass from the Reception of the hotel where you are staying. If you are arriving on the 28th August and onwards, please visit the Accommodation and Tour Desk in the Registration area of the Congress venue, to pick up your shuttle pass.

Please make sure that you bring this shuttle pass with you at all times as you may not be allowed on the coach without it. Participants arriving on the 28th August and who require the shuttle service from their hotel to the Congress venue on the 28th August will be admitted on the coach without a shuttle pass, please give your name to the hostess.

For the Ibis Roma Magliana, the shuttle will arrive approximately 10 minutes after the pick-up time shown in the timetable.
This shuttle service may be used by everyone having booked their accommodation through Congrex Travel* and these delegates will receive a shuttle pass. Please bring this shuttle pass with you at all times as without it you might not be allowed on the coach.

Expected journey time from Holiday Inn Parco dei Medici: 30 minutes
Expected journey time from Hotel Sheraton Roma: 30 minutes

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Rome has an integrated public transport system; the same ticket may be used on all metro, buses and trams in the urban area.Ticket price: 1 EUR single journey (valid for 75 minutes including 1 metro trip) / 4 EUR one-day ticket
Purchasing a ticket: Tickets can be purchased at larger stations, from newsstands, ‘tabacchi’, or vending machines (the drivers do not sell tickets). Tickets can be bought at the congress venue, the Rome Marriott Park Hotel, in the
tobacco store in the main lobby.
Train tickets can be purchased at train stations from either a self-service machine or from a ticket window.
Validating a ticket: All tickets for transportation must be validated before the start of the journey, using the validation machines located at the entry gates of the metro stations, within the entrance area of all rail stations and at the rear of buses and trams.</b>
Metro:
Metro lines: The Roman metro has two lines, A (red) and B (blue), which cross at Termini Central Station. The A line crosses the city from North to South and the B line crosses the city from East to West.
Timetable: Metros run approximately every 7-10 minutes, from 05.30 to 23.30 every day (until 00.30 on Saturdays).
Bus:
Bus routes: There are buses to almost everywhere in greater Rome. The ATAC local buses serve the city centre and most nearby suburbs.
Bus stations: The main bus stations are: Anagnina, Lepanto, Ponte Mammolo, Termini, Laurentina, Magliana, Santa Rubra, Tiburtina; bus timetables are displayed at these stops.
Timetable: Buses run from 05.30 until midnight daily.
Trams:
Tram routes: There are 6 tram routes in Rome, serving nearly all parts of the city.
Timetable: Trams run approximately every six minutes (12 minutes on Sunday), from 05.30 to midnight daily.
